Metro PCS' Horrible Customer Service - lg k7


I would like to bring to your attention the horrible and unprofessional customer service that I received at your %u201Ccorporate store%u201D located within the Cheltenham Mall in Wyncote, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. On 7/12/2017, I made a claim with your wireless insurance affiliate, Asurion, for my lost/stolen LG K7 cell phone. I was overjoyed on 7/13/2017 when the replacement arrived, however, that joy was short lived when I discovered that the replacement didn%u2019t work. As caregiver for an infirmed 82 year old senior citizen, it is essential that I have a phone at all times. Hoping to expedite the matter, I went to the corporate store on 7/15/2017 thinking that an exchange could possibly be made there. The young lady (name unknown) who waited on me initially referred me back to Asurion for a replacement of the non-functioning replacement, but after I explained the urgency of the matter, she asked me to wait while she talked to her manager to see if anything could be done immediately. She returned a few minutes later with a replacement phone but insisted that I would have to pay an additional $15.00 for it. I have been paying $6.00 per month for approximately one year for insurance and had paid the $50.00 deductible to Asurion for the replacement claim. I simply cannot understand why I was being charged an additional $15.00 on top of that. If this is truly your policy, your policy is abhorrent and usury. If your manager at this location (name unknown) just needed lunch money, he or she should learn to brown-bag-it. This is the worst customer service that I have ever received in the several years that I have held a Metro PCS account. I did not pay the additional $15.00%u2026 not because I couldn%u2019t afford it but because of the principle of it. I once again contacted Asurion & their associate apologized for the non-functioning phone and agreed to Fed Ex one that works on 7/17/2017. Once I receive that phone, I will definitely consider dropping Metro PCS as my cellular carrier. Even if I have to pay a higher monthly bill, it would be worth it to avoid Metro%u2019s usury charges, unprofessionalism and lack of consideration for me as a long standing customer.
